Attorney Biography

Mr. Hoskins is a 1985, summa cum laude, graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, licensed to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of Maryland, New York and the District of Columbia. After graduating from law school, Mr. Hoskins completed four years of military service as an Army lawyer assigned to the Office of the Army General Counsel.

Mr. Hoskins has over twenty years of experience representing clients in civil litigation matters. He has represented clients in products liability, toxic tort, commercial and insurance coverage matters. He also served as co-liaison counsel in various lawsuits brought against the tobacco industry, including litigation brought on behalf of the State of Maryland and separate class action lawsuits brought on behalf of citizens of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He has served as class counsel in predatory lending cases involving illegal second mortgage and excessive closing costs.

Since founding the firm, Mr. Hoskins has helped seriously injured individuals receive fair compensation for their injuries. His firm brought the first lawsuits in Maryland against the tobacco industry seeking recovery for injuries caused by the synergistic effects of asbestos and cigarette smoke. His firm is currently involved in ground breaking litigation seeking to obtain the remedies for predatory lending practices.
